The employees of 12 Delhi Government funded colleges of Delhi University have not received salary for the last 5 months.

On Wednesday, teachers of the University of Delhi protested against the Delhi government. It was the first day of a three-day strike by the Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA).
Duta has called for a strike from 16 to 18 September.

Duta appealed to all teachers of the university to join the strike on 16, 17 and 18 September. DUTA vice-president Alok Ranjan Pandey said, ‘The government has released funds for some colleges, but that is insufficient, so the teachers union has decided to strike.

We demand that the Government of Delhi understand the pain of teachers and release the grant. Now such a situation has come that the employee is facing trouble in earning his livelihood without salary or pension.
