CBSE Board Exam 2021: 12th board exams will not be canceled, date will be announced on June 1

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and other Union Ministers, Minister of State for Education, Education Ministers and Education Secretaries of various states, discussed about of pending board exams of 12th in the virtual meeting.

CBSE’s 12th exams will conduct according to media reports.

Will Exam format change in 12th board?

The format of the examination can be changed. The announcement of dates for examinations and exam pattern will announce by CBSE board on 1 June 2021. Similarly, entrance examinations (JEE Main, NEET etc.) will conduct as per the information received.

Along with this, the Central Government appealed to the states to share detailed suggestions on the conduct of board examinations.

States will share suggestions by 25 May for 12 class examination

According to Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, the meeting was very positive and we got many important suggestions. We have appealed to all the states to share their detailed suggestions by 25 May”.

Two options to the states for the 12th board Exam

First Option

The students of class 12 will have to appear in the examination of some selected subjects and on the basis of performance in these subjects marks will be issued for other remaining subjects.

Second Option

  • Examinations can be conducted for the students of class 12. But the exam pattern will have to be changed.
  • It will have a single paper of 1.5 hours instead of the traditional 3 hours.
  • Different types of questions and it will consist of only multiple choice questions.

Many states opposed of 12 class exam

The Delhi Education Minister, while sharing information about the meeting, said that many states opposed organizing any type of examination and demanded ‘zero exam’ by these states.

The Education Minister said that these states were of the opinion that all the candidates should be vaccinated before conducting the board exams as well as JEE and NEET examinations.
