DU: Divyang (Pwd) students will also be able to send answer sheets by email in OBE Dec 2020

The examination branch says that if poor internet connectivity or any technical problem comes, then the student should submit his answer sheet even after the elapsed time.

He will also have to give documentary evidences of delay. The maximum time limit for submitting a late answer sheet will be 60 minutes.

In the Open Book Exam (OBE) of Delhi University, question papers will be sent to the differently-abled students by email and they will also be able to send the answer sheet through email.

These students have been given the option of both uploading and sending by email in the answer sheet portal.

However, the option to send the answer sheet by email has not been given to the other students this time, because the OBE in August-September, because of this option, the examination branch was sent to many students through the answer sheet portal as well as 3 to 4 email IDs. Was found, which caused a lot of trouble.

At the same time, DU undergraduate and postgraduate semester examinations are starting from December 12 and due to this, DU’s examination branch has issued guidelines for disabled students. Divyang (Pwd) students will be given 6 hours to complete the exam.

2 hours extra

Looking at Covid-19, semester exam open book examinations are taking place in both modes – physical and online. Divyang students will get 6 hours for the exam.
To complete the three-hour exam, one hour extra time (20 minutes extra for every hour in the OBE’s three-hour format), one hour question paper will be available to download, answer sheet scan and upload the sheets and one more hour of special provision.
Also, students who need a scrub for examination or need a device / internet facility, the college will provide this facility. The remaining students will be given four hours.

Visually impaired students will be given the facility to type exams in the computer. DU has stated that if Divyang (Pwd) students want ICT infrastructure (device / net) facility from college / department / faculty / institute for paper download and uploading of sheets,
they will be allowed on condition of adhering to social distancing. Students will also be provided with the facility of scribe on demand.

For this, they have to send the application to the Principal / Head / Dean / Director by 9 December. The college / department / faculty / institute will have to provide an email ID for this on their website. Students can inform their nodal officer about their confusion or problem.
