A student of Lady Shri Ram (LSR) College had allegedly committed suicide due to financial difficulties in continuing her studies. According to LSR College Principal Suman Sharma, the college administration has announced to reduce the fees of some courses, set up a committee to provide laptops and allow some second year students to stay in hostels.

Working on recharging internet data

Principal of Miranda House College Bijayalakshmi Nanda said that the college is working on recharging internet data to those students whose burden has increased due to online classes during the epidemic.

Committee formed to contact students facing financial constraints

Staff Association of St. Stephen’s College has demanded the Principal of the college to constitute a committee to contact the students facing financial crisis. Nanda said, “As we all are aware, the epidemic has caused a lot of trouble on the society. People’s financial troubles have increased and some of our students are facing real difficulty in paying online classes and fees.”

Request for scholarships and laptops from students

Principal of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Simrit Kaur said that the college has been receiving requests from students for scholarships and laptops since the lockdown. He said that there are some students who have their own equipment but there are also students who need laptops.
