DUTA’s ‘Halla Bol’ for re-appointment of ad-hoc teachers of Vivekananda College, performed online

Vivekananda College

DU teachers on Wednesday demonstrated online for the re-appointment of 12 ad-hoc teachers removed from Vivekananda College. It was named Halla Bol. A large number of teachers, led by the Delhi University Teachers’ Association (DUTA), protested demanding justice from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the acting Vice Chancellor of Delhi University, Prof PC Joshi.

DUTA Vice President Dr Alok Ranjan Pandey told that the teachers participated in the demonstration from their respective homes. Photos and videos of banner posters in hand were shared on the Internet media.

Alok Ranjan Pandey said that in the Governing Body meeting of the college, it was agreed to re-appointment of ad-hoc teachers. Despite this, even after passing a week, there was no reappointment. This also raises questions about the intention of the chairman.

DUTA joint secretary Premchand requested the acting vice-chancellor to remove the principal. Said that it is inhumane to remove any teacher during the pandemic. If the Chief Minister and the acting Vice Chancellor do not give justice, then the teachers will be forced to take to the streets to save their pride.

DUTA President Rajib Ray, Former DUTA President Aditya Narayan Mishra, DUTA Secretary Rajinder Singh, DUTA Treasurer Abha Dev along with Rajesh Jha, Amit Singh, Anand Prakash, Neeraj Mishra, Anju Jain, Rahul Kumar, Sunil Sharma, VS Dixit, Ravikant, Hansraj Suman, Manoj Kumar, Anil Sharma, Himanshu Singh, Abhishek Jaiswal etc participated.
