New National Education Policy 2020: 42 member committee to prepare roadmap for implementing policy in DU

New National Education Policy 2020: The task of implementing the new education policy in the University of Delhi (DU) has been entrusted to the 42 member team.

Initially, a 30-member team was formed in the month of September. At that time, a faction of teachers had pointed fingers at the formation of the committee.

It was alleged that the teachers of SC, ST, OBC and Divyang classes are not represented in the committee. Perhaps this is the reason that now 12 members have been increased in the committee formed earlier.

DU administration said that Prof. of Management Studies Prof. Vivek Suneja has been appointed as the chairperson of the committee. The committee consists of professors of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Commerce, Education, Statistics. Apart from this, principals of various colleges have also been included in the committee.

This includes principals of colleges like Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce, Ramanujan College, Lady Shri Ram College, Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College, St. Stephen’s College, Hindu College, Acharya Narendra Dev, Janaki Devi Memorial College, Miranda House, Hansraj, Ramjas etc. Now the names of the Academic Council are more in the 12 names issued.
