Many colleges are depositing crores of rupees in bank: Sisodia
Education Minister Manish Sisodia said that some colleges of Delhi University are taking money from the Delhi government and students and putting them in the bank and then asking the government for unlimited funds.
Sisodia said that according to the rule, the amount of money that these colleges get from different sources, will be provided by the Delhi government, which will be reduced by their total expenditure.
For this, the Delhi government refused to ask for books on the sources of income from these colleges.
The budget for the salary item to be paid by the Delhi government was increased from two and a half to three times. Despite this, how is the Delhi government able to provide unlimited funds?
Sisodia said that on one side colleges are saying that they do not have money to pay salaries, while their bank accounts Money is constantly increasing.
This money is not given from the Delhi government to keep it in the bank. Some colleges have even kept up to 15 to 30 crore rupees. How much money did it come from, what are they being used for, all the audit team will investigate.
It is expected that Delhi University Administration will cooperate in conducting an open investigation into the possibility of rigging in the college fund.
He also said that DU has been a university with very good history.
In this, if any question arises on money, the DU administration will take strict action instead of making political rhetoric so that its transparency and clean image is not affected.
