The Delhi University (DU) examinations are scheduled to begin on December 12, but the exams for the third semester of the School of Open Learning have been postponed just two days before the exam. A high level meeting took place on Thursday in this regard. It was decided that the examinations for the third and first semester will be conducted simultaneously in the month of March.
The DU administration said that the admission process in the third semester started from 8 November. Examination forms were being filled with admission. December 5 was the last date for the examination form and admission. From December 12, the third semester examinations were also to be held.
The students enrolled were getting only one week’s time to prepare for the exam. Because of this, the students are very angry. The students also staged online protests. At the same time, more than 40 thousand students had missed filling the examination form. 833 students of BA English, 3149 of Political Science Honors, 28950 of BA Program, 5656 of B.Com and 1011 of B.Com Honors were not able to fill the examination form.
