Staff of Delhi Government Funded DU colleges have not received a salary for three months. Know full story

Delhi Government Funded 12 Colleges Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff salary has been dry for 3 months.
This problem has been caused by the reduction of funds for the last few months.

An official of Delhi Government funded Deen Dayal Upadhaya College said that internet and phone connection has been cut in his college as the bill has not been paid for four months.

Especially when the corona epidemic is widespread and is struggling with economic crisis. There are 12 government funded Delhi colleges.

Some of these colleges have given their salary for the month of May to their employees, but most of the college has not paid the last three months salary to its staff.

Delhi government’s own argument

An official of the Delhi government’s finance department said that there is a huge shortage of money due to the epidemic. Money was used more in Covid-19 management. The Delhi government sought financial assistance of 5000 crores from the central government. but no amount has been received so far.

Education Minister and Deputy Chief Minister in Delhi government, Manish Sisodia said that the government is short of funds. Simultaneously, the administration of the colleges of Delhi University was accused of corruption.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that despite the increase of 70% in the budget in 5 years,the intimacy of Delhi Government College funded Delhi University College to pay thesalaries of the staff tells more. So they are delaying in forming a governing body.

About 1200 teaching and 900 non-teaching staff are permanently employed in DelhiGovernment Funded College. DUTA’s president has written a letter to Chief Minister ArvindKejriwal for the staff struggling with salary crisis in tomorrow.
