University Entrance Exams 2021: After the cancellation of 12th board examinations, now it is the turn of admission in universities. But due to the Covid 19, questions are being raised about the entrance examinations.
At the same time, after DU, the other two big universities of the country, Jamia Millia Islamia and JNU, have made their stand clear in this regard.
Jamia Millia Islamia(JMI) has said that the entrance exam will be conducted on 22 June 2021. However, Jamia Public Relations Officer (PRO) Ahmed Azeem says that this is a tentative date. In view of the situation of Corona and the lockdown in Delhi, the entrance exam date can also be changed. He said that ‘we do not depend on CBSE 12th Marks’. We have our own entrance exam, where the eligibility is often less than 50%.
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Vice Chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar has also issued a statement regarding JNU Entrance Exam 2021. He said that the entrance examination for JNU UG admission is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This test will be held whenever the circumstances are favourable. It may be late.
He said that if the entrance examination is postponed and admissions are delayed, the university academic calendar will be prepared accordingly. Time will be wasted in the process of postponement of examination and admission, its care will also be taken care of in the calendar.
At the same time, JNU VC also said that ‘We welcome the decision of the Central Government on CBSE 12th Board Exam. Such situations of epidemics come once in a hundred years. In this situation the health and safety of the students is paramount. He has advised that universities can find a suitable method for UG admission on the basis of 12th marks.
