Delhi University SC / ST, OBC Teachers Forum has strongly condemned the termination of the service of 12 adhoc teachers working in various departments during the Corona period by the principal of Vivekananda College. Among these 12 adhoc teachers, 5 adhoc teachers have been completely engulfed by Corona. The condition of teachers suffering from corona is very bad. The family is struggling with financial crisis.
On the other hand, his service was terminated. For the last five days, these teachers have pleaded with the principal and the chairman of the college. But no one is going to listen to them. These teachers have written a letter to the in-charge of the DTA, in which they have talked about joining.
Teachers Forum President Dr. Kailas Prakash Singh has told that Vivekananda College has long been in various departments like Commerce-02, Economics-01, English-03, Computer Science-02, Sanskrit-01, Food Technology-01, Mathematics -01 is employed as ad hoc teachers in Environmental Science -01. Among them, 3 adhoc teachers are from scheduled castes and 4 other backward classes and 5 general classes.
They have told that even in the month of January 2021, the college principal had taken an arbitrary step to displace these ad hoc teachers. But after the intervention of Dr. Hansraj Suman and Duta, in-charge of Delhi Teachers Association, the chairman of the governing body stopped the interview on these posts and got all these 12 teachers re-joined. They say that if any teachers are removed in the Corona period, they will be forced to take to the streets against the principal.

Dr. Suman has informed that the college chairman has been reminded through WhatsApp on behalf of the DTA not to conduct any kind of interview unless taking a decision as directed by the university’s ordinances / regulations and the tripartite MoU of 5 December 2019 unless The post should not be permanent.
They have demanded that no ad hoc teachers should be interviewed till the advertisement for permanent posts comes.
