According to the notification issued before the CTET exam, candidates with graduation and B.Ed or other valid education degree will be able to do the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. Banaras Hindu University has come out from the list of Top-1000 Institutions in QS World University Rankings, 2022. Looking at the figures of the last six years, BHU has been out of this category for the first time. BHU was in the category of 801-1000 in the ranking of 2021 last year, but this year the university has slipped down to the last category of 1001-1200 educational institutions i.e. ranking.

BHU was in the top 750 educational institutions of the world in the year 2015, which remained till 2017 after that 801-1000 and has now been able to take its place in 1200. The QS ranking is considered to be the largest assessment of the academic and research world at the academic level.
