Banaras Hindu University has come out from the list of Top-1000 Institutions in QS World University Rankings, 2022. Looking at the figures of the last six years, BHU has been out of this category for the first time. BHU was in the category of 801-1000 in the ranking of 2021 last year, but this year the university has slipped down to the last category of 1001-1200 educational institutions i.e. ranking.

BHU QS World University Rankings in 2015, 2016 & 2017

BHU was in the top 750 educational institutions of the world in the year 2015, which remained till 2017 after that 801-1000 and has now been able to take its place in 1200. The QS ranking is considered to be the largest assessment of the academic and research world at the academic level.

It releases the list of top 1000 universities and educational institutions every year. Along with this, it also releases the list of 300 institutes having more than one thousand ranks.

This assessment includes academic reputation, per faculty citation (researcher level), employer reputation, student-teacher ratio research, international teacher and student ratio. This year the research of BHU was also affected by the corona epidemic.

But even in such a situation, Delhi University, JNU and others have been successful in making their place in the top 600. Its rank was 277. IIT-Bombay 177, IIT-Delhi 185 and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore got 186th rank.
