Delhi University: 36 teachers died from Corona in one month, DUTA demands job for a family member

So far, more than four lakh people have lost their lives due to the corona pandemic in the country. The covid-19 has also badly affected educational institutions. There have been a large number of deaths of staff of educational institutions. It also includes Delhi University. Here a month, about 35 to 36 teachers have fallen victim to Corona.

Delhi University Teachers Association has demanded jobs for the families of the teachers who have been victims of Corona. Vice President of Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA), Dr. Alok Ranjan Pandey says that 3-3 teachers have died from a college.

There is no college where no teacher or student has died. We have sympathy for the adhoc teachers. He said that by writing a letter to the Vice Chancellor and the Ministry on behalf of Duta, a member of the family of the deceased teachers has been given a job.

10 Lakh from DU Teacher Welfare Fund

Due to Corona infection, the decision has been made to provide financial assistance from the DU Teacher Welfare Fund to the families of the deceased teachers of Delhi University. Accordingly, the teachers who died after March 1, 2021, It has been decided to provide maximum assistance of 10 lakh rupees to their families.
